Stroll along the boulevard and enjoy the many cafés and restaurants. Additionally, you can visit the lighthouse at the boulevard or explore the ruins of Egmond Castle. The region features several cycling routes through country roads and dunes. Egmond aan Zee is only about a 20-minute drive from Alkmaar, a city that is definitely worth a visit!

At Zenmoodz, the wellness centre of the Hotel Zuiderduin, you can have a lovely relaxing time in the indoor swimming pool. During your stay, you can make free use of the swimming pool. Swimwear is obligatory. Below are the dates when the swimming pool and sauna will be closed due to annual maintenance: - 2026: Week 16 – Wednesday, April 15; Thursday, April 16; and Friday, April 17

✓ Free parking (based on availability)

As a guest of Hotel Zuiderduin, you can use the hotel's parking deck or parking garage free of charge (based upon availability) from 12:00 on the day of arrival until 12:00 on the day of departure. Please note: Hotel Zuiderduin has 370 rooms but only 245 parking spaces on site. A parking space is therefore not guaranteed. It is not possible to reserve a parking space in advance. Registering your licence plate before arrival also does not guarantee a parking space. If the hotel car park is full, you can park on the street in Egmond aan Zee. Please note that paid parking applies. Rate: €2.40 per hour. Daily rate: maximum €14.40 per day.

Horseback riding

Are you a horse lover? Then Egmond is the place to be. The beach, the forests and the agricultural hinterland lend themselves perfectly to horseback riding. Horseback riding on the beach is of course the most beautiful. Feel the wind through your hair as the horse gallops through the surf.

Visit the cheese market in Alkmaar

The cheese market in Alkmaar is every Friday morning from 31 March to 29 September from 10.00-13.00. In addition, evening cheese markets are organised again: every Tuesday evening in July and August from 19.00-21.00 hrs. The Cheese Market takes place on Waagplein, about a 15-minute walk from the train station. The route from the train station to Waagplein is signposted. It is a nice walk through the centre of Alkmaar.

Getting a breath of fresh air by the sea

What could be better than getting a breath of fresh air on the beach? The seaside resort of Egmond aan Zee is suitable for long beach walks. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy a lovely walk on the beach.

How can I cancel? +

I want to cancel a package
You can cancel your booking within the cancellation period, in which case you will receive a refund of the package amount and a voucher for the booking fee. You will find the cancellation deadline in the third step of the booking process. Via the 'cancel booking' button in the booking confirmation e-mail, you can cancel the booking yourself if you are still within the cancellation period.

Nearly all our packages can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. However, for some packages this is 48 or 72 hours before the day of arrival. The time of arrival does not matter for the cancellation period.

Can the package also be booked for more than one person? +

Great that you want to book multiple arrangements! That is certainly possible. An arrangement is for 2 people. In the second step of the booking process, you can add as many rooms to your booking as are available.

Each room you add is essentially an extra arrangement for two people.

Can I book 2 or more packages at the same time? +

How can I change the date of my booking? +

It is unfortunately not possible to change a booking (date). You must first cancel the existing booking via the 'cancel' button. You will find this button in the e-mail with the booking confirmation, which you received immediately after payment of your reservation. Can't find it? Check your junk mail and/or spam to be sure.

I want to stay longer +

If you want to book an extra night you can, provided that we also offer the corresponding package for 1 night, book consecutively to your other booking. The same applies if you want to book two additional nights. If we do not offer the package for one night on the site, you can do this through the hotel. You pay the normal hotel rate. So unfortunately not with our valid discount.

For Room only bookings it is advisable to check availability via the website. It is however necessary to make a new booking.

I want to customize the package +

It is not possible to adjust the package. However, there are a number of extras that can be booked during the booking process. The package cannot be changed in terms of duration and content. If you want to come with more than two people, you can add extra packages in the second step of the booking process.
