4 fun outings near Voco Düsseldorf Seestern

From old to new – city walk through Düsseldorf

Start your walk in the charming Altstadt, known as "the longest bar in the world", with its cosy alleys, traditional breweries, and historical charm. Then follow the lively Rhine promenade towards the modern MedienHafen district, where striking architecture and sleek design buildings set the scene. This route perfectly showcases the contrast between historic and contemporary Düsseldorf – ideal for lovers of culture, atmosphere, and architecture.

Medienhafen

Would you like to experience the harbor feeling in Düsseldorf at the same time as witnessing modernism? Then you should definitely spend some time in the Medienhafen. Discover the dynamics of Düsseldorf's hippest district. High in the air on the Rheinturm you will get the best view of the Medienhafen.

The Altstadt

Walking through the streets of the Altstadt and seeing the old buildings, you would not think that almost everything dates from after World War II. During the war, the historic center was virtually bombed flat. Unlike Rotterdam, Dusseldorf has restored the Altstadt to its former glory. The old houses and buildings have been restored to their original state, and the result is worth seeing.

Go on a bike ride along the Rhine

The surroundings of Wageningen are perfect for cycling trips. You can cycle along the Rhine and enjoy the beautiful landscape and peaceful villages nearby. There are various cycling routes available that vary in distance and difficulty level.
