Located in Lanaken near Maastricht, La Butte aux Bois is nestled in a splendid country house dating back to 1924, surrounded by expansive forests and gardens at the entrance of the Hoge Kempen National Park. The hotel features beautifully decorated rooms and suites, some equipped with Hästens beds for a sublime night's sleep.
Food lovers can indulge at the newly reopened fine-dining restaurant La Source, which has been under the direction of Chef Ralph Hermans since July – formerly known from the Michelin-starred restaurant Rantrée in Maastricht. With his arrival, La Source embarks on a new culinary chapter, focusing on refinement, seasonal ingredients, and creative flair.
Although the restaurant currently does not (yet) hold a Michelin star, the experience remains of an exceptionally high standard, offering accessible haute cuisine in a sophisticated setting. For a more casual dining experience, Bistrôt Le Ciel (MICHELIN gids) serves delightful Franco-Belgian dishes with an international twist, crafted by Chef Pieter Beurskens.
In addition to exquisite dining, the hotel boasts a state-of-the-art spa and wellness center with a pool, sauna, and whirlpool. Guests can also indulge in luxurious facial treatments or massages.
