Day 1: Arrival at Hotel Wapen van Delden
Your journey begins at Hotel het Wapen van Delden, a welcoming hotel with a central location. Here you can park your car free of charge for the entire duration of your holiday. On the first evening, you will enjoy a 3-course dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. After a comfortable overnight stay and an extensive breakfast, you will set off by bike towards the next destination.
Day 2: Relaxed discovery in and around Delden
On the second day of your cycling holiday, you set the pace yourself. Start with an extensive breakfast. Relax in the heated indoor swimming pool or sauna, or take a walk to the historic centre of Delden, which is within walking distance. Stroll through charming streets, visit the Salt Museum or enjoy a drink on a terrace overlooking the church. Back at the hotel, unwind in the lounge or on the terrace with a drink. In the evening, the day ends with a delicious dinner in the restaurant. A relaxed day where comfort and charm come together.
Day 3: Delden to Raalte (65 km) – Overnight stay at Hotel De Zwaan
After a comfortable overnight stay and an extensive breakfast, you cycle towards Raalte. The route takes you through the varied landscapes of Overijssel. At the end of the day, you arrive at Hotel De Zwaan, a charming hotel where hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere come together. Here too, the day ends with a delicious 3-course dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 4: Discover landscapes in and around Raalte
After an extensive breakfast, enjoy the varied landscapes of the Sallandse Heuvelrug or visit one of the charming Hanseatic cities such as Zwolle, Deventer, Ommen or Hattem. After a day full of impressions, return to the hotel for a relaxing evening with dishes prepared using seasonal and local ingredients.
Day 5: Raalte to Markelo (64 km) – Overnight stay at Hotel Herikerberg
After a delicious breakfast, the next cycling stage begins. You cycle along the IJssel and through green, peaceful landscapes towards Markelo. Hotel Herikerberg is beautifully hidden in the greenery and offers a charming place to stay. In the evening, you will enjoy a well-prepared dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 6: A peaceful stay near the Sallandse Heuvelrug
At Hotel Herikerberg you can enjoy peace and nature on the edge of the Sallandse Heuvelrug. Walk or cycle directly from the hotel through the Twente countryside or visit charming towns such as Delden or Ootmarsum. Back at the hotel, relax on the terrace or in the restaurant, where you end the day with flavourful seasonal dishes.
Day 7: Markelo to Delden (46 km) – Departure
The final cycling day begins with an extensive breakfast. This route takes you through picturesque villages and beautiful natural areas back to Delden. While you cycle back at your own pace to the starting point to collect your car and return home, your luggage will be transported back to Hotel het Wapen van Delden. This concludes your varied and comfortable cycling holiday in a wonderful way.

This cycling tour of approximately 45 kilometers takes you through the scenic landscape of Twente, past castles, farms, and characteristic villages. Your starting point is Het Wapen van Delden Hotel. From there, you’ll first cycle past the beautiful Twickel Estate, where you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The forests, gardens, and historic buildings are impressive – feel free to get off your bike and take a stroll. Next, you’ll pass through the charming center of Delden. Here, you can enjoy quaint streets, lovely shops, and perhaps visit the Salt Museum or Museum No Hero. The route then continues along peaceful country roads toward Beckum and Bentelo, two picturesque Twente villages set in a traditional bocage landscape. The Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park is unique. Here you will find the largest contiguous heathland area in northwestern Europe. This national park is 35 km2 large, so you won't get bored easily here. This is also due to the varied nature, from coniferous forests to moors and 'mountains'. Yes really, the Sallandse Heuvelrug even has several. The Archemerberg is the only non-forested mountain, giving you a breathtaking view of Salland, Twente and the valley of the Vecht from the top. Do not have too "high" expectations of this mountain, as its height is 78 meters. The heather is at its most beautiful at the end of summer, as it turns purple, purple, purple.

You can cancel your booking within the cancellation period, in which case you will receive a refund of the package amount and a voucher for the booking fee. You will find the cancellation deadline in the third step of the booking process. Via the 'cancel booking' button in the booking confirmation e-mail, you can cancel the booking yourself if you are still within the cancellation period.
Nearly all our packages can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. However, for some packages this is 48 or 72 hours before the day of arrival. The time of arrival does not matter for the cancellation period.

It is unfortunately not possible to change a booking (date). You must first cancel the existing booking via the 'cancel' button. You will find this button in the e-mail with the booking confirmation, which you received immediately after payment of your reservation. Can't find it? Check your junk mail and/or spam to be sure.
If you want to book an extra night you can, provided that we also offer the corresponding package for 1 night, book consecutively to your other booking. The same applies if you want to book two additional nights. If we do not offer the package for one night on the site, you can do this through the hotel. You pay the normal hotel rate. So unfortunately not with our valid discount.
For Room only bookings it is advisable to check availability via the website. It is however necessary to make a new booking.
It is not possible to adjust the package. However, there are a number of extras that can be booked during the booking process. The package cannot be changed in terms of duration and content. If you want to come with more than two people, you can add extra packages in the second step of the booking process.
