Day 1: Arrival at Hotel Wapen van Delden
Your journey begins at Hotel het Wapen van Delden, a welcoming hotel with a central location. Here you can park your car free of charge for the entire duration of your holiday. On the first evening, you will enjoy a 3-course dinner in the hotel’s restaurant. After a comfortable overnight stay and an extensive breakfast, you will set off by bike towards the next destination.

Day 2: Relaxed discovery in and around Delden
On the second day of your cycling holiday, you set the pace yourself. Start with an extensive breakfast and then enjoy the facilities or the surroundings. Relax in the heated indoor swimming pool or sauna, or take a walk to the historic centre of Delden, which is within walking distance. Stroll through charming streets, visit the Salt Museum or enjoy a drink on a terrace overlooking the church. Back at the hotel, unwind in the lounge or on the terrace with a drink. In the evening, the day ends with a delicious dinner in the restaurant. A relaxed day where comfort and charm come together.

Day 3: Delden to Markelo (50 km) – Overnight stay at Landhuishotel Herikerberg
After breakfast, you set off by bike for the route from Delden to Markelo. You follow a peaceful and varied route through the characteristic Twente landscape, with country roads, green meadows and wooded areas. As you approach Markelo, the landscape becomes gently rolling and even more diverse. At the end of the day, you arrive at Landhuishotel Herikerberg, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay – the perfect ending to a wonderful cycling day.

Day 4: Cycling around Markelo – Landhuishotel Herikerberg
After an extensive breakfast at Landhuishotel Herikerberg, you take a beautiful cycling tour around Markelo. The route leads you through a varied landscape of forests, heathlands, gently rolling hills and quiet country roads past farms and small hamlets. There are plenty of opportunities along the way to pause and enjoy the nature and the relaxed Twente atmosphere. In the afternoon, you return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5: Markelo to Delden (47 km) – Departure
The final cycling day starts with a good breakfast, after which you cycle back to Delden at a relaxed pace. The route passes picturesque villages and beautiful nature areas and forms a calm and pleasant conclusion to the journey. This marks the end of a varied and comfortable cycling holiday.
