Day 1: Arrival at Hotel De Zwaan
Your cycling holiday starts at Hotel De Zwaan, centrally located in Raalte and known for its welcoming atmosphere. Free parking is available here throughout your holiday. After check-in, you will have time to explore Raalte at your leisure before ending the day with a delicious 3-course dinner in the hotel restaurant.

Day 2: Explore the surroundings of Raalte – Hotel De Zwaan
A cycling day around Raalte introduces you to a beautiful combination of nature, culture and relaxation. You cycle through the characteristic Salland landscape with wide-open fields, tree-lined hedgerows and quiet country roads. Along the way, you will pass small hamlets, farms and green stream valleys, perfect places for a break or lunch. Routes towards the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park and nearby estates and forests offer varied scenery and gentle elevation changes. At the end of the day, you return to Raalte with lasting memories of the rural charm and hospitality of Salland. In the evening, enjoy a tasty 3-course dinner at Hotel De Zwaan.

Day 3: Raalte to Markelo (64 km) – Hotel Herikerberg
After a delicious breakfast, the second cycling stage begins. You cycle along the River IJssel and through peaceful green landscapes towards Markelo. Hotel Herikerberg is beautifully hidden among the greenery and provides a charming destination. In the evening, enjoy a carefully prepared dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 4: Cycling around Markelo – Hotel Herikerberg
After an extensive breakfast at Hotel Herikerberg, enjoy a scenic cycling route around Markelo. The route takes you through a varied landscape of forests, heathlands, rolling hills and quiet country roads lined with farms and small communities. There are plenty of opportunities to stop and enjoy the natural surroundings and the welcoming Twente atmosphere. In the afternoon, return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5: Markelo to Raalte (43 km) – Departure
The final cycling day begins with a good breakfast, after which you cycle back to Raalte at a relaxed pace. The route passes picturesque villages and beautiful nature reserves, providing a peaceful and fitting conclusion to the journey. This varied and comfortable cycling holiday comes to an enjoyable end.
