Bonnefanten museum
The Bonnefantenmuseum brings together ancient and contemporary art. The striking building by Italian architect Aldo Rossi shines on the Maastricht skyline. It is located in the Céramique district where the main entrance is also located. The Bonnefantenmuseum is an E-shaped building of four floors and a detached, landmark tower on the Meuse River. The entirely zinc-clad tower is famous and is called cupola. Aldo Rossi, the architect regarded the museum as a viewing factory.<br><br> Every weekend there are free tours of the highlights of the collection (Saturdays) and exhibitions (Sundays) at 11:30 a.m. on presentation of a valid admission ticket.
