Day 1 | Arrival at Churchill Hotel Terneuzen

Check in from 3:00 PM at Churchill Hotel Terneuzen, beautifully located along the dike of the Westerschelde estuary. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink, while a bottle of wine awaits in your room for a relaxing start to your stay. In the evening, savour a delightful 3-course dinner at Restaurant Taste.

Day 2 | Braakmankreek Nature Trail (approx. 12.8 km)

After a comfortable night's sleep and an extensive breakfast, it's time to lace up your walking boots. Just a 15-minute drive from the hotel lies Braakmankreek, one of Zeeuws-Vlaanderen's most beautiful nature reserves. This varied walk takes you past winding creeks, reed beds, open water, and wooded paths. Along the way, enjoy the peace, wide-open landscapes, and abundant birdlife that make this area so special.

After your walk, it's well worth driving to the charming mussel village of Philippine, where you can enjoy dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants before returning to Churchill Hotel Terneuzen.

Day 3 | Breskens & Groede Coastal Trail (approx. 15.7 km)

Following another restful night and a generous breakfast, it's time to discover the Zeeland coast. About 25 minutes by car from the hotel, this scenic walk begins in the charming fishing village of Breskens. Stroll past the bustling fishing harbour, the modern marina, the iconic lighthouse, and the wide sandy beach before continuing to the picturesque artists' village of Groede, where you can stop for a coffee or a leisurely lunch.

After your walk, return to Churchill Hotel Terneuzen and end the day with a delicious 3-course dinner at Restaurant Taste.

Day 4 | Hulst Fortified Town Trail (approx. 18.2 km)

After breakfast, check out of the hotel. If you're not quite ready to head home, a final walk provides the perfect ending to your holiday. Around 20 minutes by car from the hotel lies Hulst, widely regarded as Zeeland's most beautiful fortified town. This varied route takes you along impressive ramparts, historic city gates, and charming streets in the old town. You'll also explore Hulst's green southern edge and the Stropersbos forest, where nature and history come together in a unique setting.

Take your time to enjoy a coffee, a leisurely lunch, or a stroll along the impressive fortifications before heading home feeling completely refreshed.
