Day 1: Arrival at Hotel Wapen van Delden
Your journey begins at Hotel het Wapen van Delden, a welcoming hotel in a central location. You can park your car here free of charge for the entire duration of your holiday. On your first evening, enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in the hotel's restaurant. After a comfortable night's sleep and a generous breakfast, it's time to hop on your bike and head towards your next destination.

Day 2: Relax and Explore Delden and Its Surroundings
On the second day of your cycling holiday, you can set your own pace. Start with a generous breakfast before enjoying a relaxing swim in the heated indoor pool or unwinding in the sauna. Alternatively, explore the historic centre of Delden, which is within walking distance. Wander through charming streets, visit the newly opened Museum MORE in Delden or relax on a terrace overlooking the church. Back at the hotel, you can unwind in the lounge or enjoy a drink on the terrace. In the evening, round off your day with a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Day 3: Delden to Markelo (45 km) – Overnight Stay at Hotel Herikerberg
After breakfast, hop on your bike for the journey from Delden to Markelo. Follow a peaceful and varied route through the characteristic Twente countryside, passing quiet country roads, green meadows and wooded areas. As you approach Markelo, the landscape becomes gently rolling and even more diverse. At the end of the day, you will arrive at Hotel Herikerberg, where a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await you – the perfect way to end a wonderful day of cycling.

Day 4: Cycling Around Markelo – Hotel Herikerberg
After a generous breakfast at Hotel Herikerberg, you can choose one of the cycling routes offered by the hotel, such as a scenic ride around Markelo. The route takes you through a varied landscape of forests, heathlands, rolling hills and peaceful country lanes passing farms and small hamlets. Along the way, there are plenty of opportunities to stop, take a break and enjoy the beautiful nature and relaxed atmosphere of Twente. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel for a delicious dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 5: Markelo to Delden (45 km) – Departure
Your final cycling day begins with a delicious breakfast, after which you can leisurely cycle back to Delden. The route takes you through Diepenheim, known as the Village of Castles, with its numerous castles and country estates, as well as beautiful natural landscapes. It provides a peaceful and scenic conclusion to your journey. A wonderful way to bring this varied and comfortable cycling holiday to an end.
