Discover the surprising diversity of the Wageningen area during a fully arranged 5-day cycling holiday. You will stay for four nights at Hotel Wander and cycle through a varied landscape of Veluwe forests, riverbanks, country estates, floodplains and open natural areas.

The best thing about this package? You decide how active you want your holiday to be. Choose to cycle two, three or even all four routes. On days 1 and 3, you will also enjoy a delicious 3-Course dinner at Brass Beau. Little treats have been taken care of too, with a bottle of bubbles in your room, Wander Sweet Treats, a portion of bitterballen and a takeaway for your ride.

After each day of cycling, return to Hotel Wander and relax before the next stage of your adventure.

Day 1 | Arrival

Thanks to the included early check-in, you are welcome at Hotel Wander from 12:00. Settle into your Plant Leaf Twin Room at your leisure and toast to the days ahead with the bottle of bubbles waiting for you in your room.

In the evening, enjoy a delicious 3-Course dinner at Brass Beau, after which you can relax at the hotel.

Day 2 | Freedom Route (approx. 58.8 km)

After breakfast, get on your bike for the longest route of this holiday. The Freedom Route takes you through Wageningen and its green surroundings and focuses on the remarkable history of this region.

Along the way, historic sites, wooded areas and open landscapes alternate. Wageningen played an important role at the end of the Second World War, and it is precisely this combination of history and nature that gives the route an extra dimension.

Afterwards, return to Hotel Wander and enjoy the freedom to choose a cosy restaurant of your liking for the evening.

Day 3 | Rhine Ferry Route (approx. 44.3 km)

Today, perhaps the most varied ride of the holiday awaits. Cycle along the Rhine, through vast floodplains and across the rolling Veluwe moraine.

Along the way, you will cross the river several times by ferry, immediately giving this route a wonderful holiday feel. Forests, water, elevation changes and expansive views continually alternate.

After returning to Hotel Wander, you will once again enjoy a 3-Course dinner at Brass Beau.

Please note: one of the ferries operates according to a seasonal timetable. Always check the current sailing times before departure.

Day 4 | Castles & Country Estates Route (approx. 44.8 km)

Today is all about forests, country estates and history. Cycle through the green area between Wageningen, Renkum and Arnhem, where centuries-old estates and castles are hidden among the trees.

Along the way, you will pass several remarkable estates and historic sites. The landscape is varied and occasionally gently rolling, with beautiful views, stately avenues and wooded roads.

A wonderful route for those who like to combine nature with culture and history.

Day 5 | Taste the Binnenveld (approx. 43 km)

After breakfast, and with late check-out until 14:00, you still have plenty of time for one final bike ride.

During this relaxing route, discover the rural area between Wageningen, Ede and Veenendaal. Cycle through an open landscape of meadows, farms, nature reserves and quiet roads. Along the way, you will pass several places where regional produce and local flavours take centre stage.

Thanks to its relatively flat terrain, this is a pleasant way to round off four varied days of cycling.

Everything is taken care of during your stay. You can park for free at Hotel Wander and easily navigate from the hotel to the various cycling routes. An extensive breakfast awaits you every morning, and you will receive a convenient takeaway for your ride.

After a day of cycling, there is often another treat waiting for you, from Wander Sweet Treats and a portion of bitterballen to a refreshing glass of bubbles. This way, you can combine active days with just the right amount of comfort and indulgence.
