Day 1: Arrival at Hotel Wapen van Delden
Your journey begins at Hotel het Wapen van Delden, a welcoming hotel in a central location. You can park your car here free of charge for the entire duration of your holiday. On your first evening, enjoy a delicious 3-course dinner in the hotel's restaurant. After a comfortable night's sleep and a generous breakfast, it's time to hop on your bike and head towards your next destination.
Day 2: Relax and Explore Delden and Its Surroundings
On the second day of your cycling holiday, you can set your own pace. Start with a generous breakfast before enjoying a relaxing swim in the heated indoor pool or unwinding in the sauna. Alternatively, take a stroll to the historic centre of Delden, which is within walking distance. Wander through charming streets, visit the Salt Museum or relax on a terrace overlooking the church. Back at the hotel, you can unwind in the lounge or enjoy a drink on the terrace. In the evening, round off your day with a delicious dinner in the restaurant. Day 3: Delden to Raalte (65 km) – Overnight Stay at Hotel De Zwaan

Today, after a generous breakfast, you can explore the diverse landscapes of the Sallandse Heuvelrug or visit one of the charming historic Hanseatic towns, such as Zwolle, Deventer, Ommen or Hattem. After a day full of wonderful experiences, return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and enjoy dishes prepared with seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Day 5: Raalte to Markelo (55 km) – Overnight Stay at Hotel Herikerberg
After a delicious breakfast, set off for another day of cycling. Your route takes you along the River IJssel and through peaceful green landscapes towards Markelo. This cycling tour of approximately 45 kilometers takes you through the scenic landscape of Twente, past castles, farms, and characteristic villages. Your starting point is Het Wapen van Delden Hotel. From there, you’ll first cycle past the beautiful Twickel Estate, where you’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The forests, gardens, and historic buildings are impressive – feel free to get off your bike and take a stroll. Next, you’ll pass through the charming center of Delden. Here, you can enjoy quaint streets, lovely shops, and perhaps visit the Salt Museum or Museum No Hero. The route then continues along peaceful country roads toward Beckum and Bentelo, two picturesque Twente villages set in a traditional bocage landscape. Along the way, you’ll cycle past farms, meadows, and hedgerows. It’s the perfect route to completely unwind. Fancy a break? There are plenty of cozy spots for a coffee or lunch on a terrace.
The Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park is unique. Here you will find the largest contiguous heathland area in northwestern Europe. This national park is 35 km2 large, so you won't get bored easily here. This is also due to the varied nature, from coniferous forests to moors and 'mountains'. Yes really, the Sallandse Heuvelrug even has several. The Archemerberg is the only non-forested mountain, giving you a breathtaking view of Salland, Twente and the valley of the Vecht from the top. Do not have too "high" expectations of this mountain, as its height is 78 meters. The heather is at its most beautiful at the end of summer, as it turns purple, purple, purple.

You can cancel your booking within the cancellation period, in which case you will receive a refund of the package amount and a voucher for the booking fee. You will find the cancellation deadline in the third step of the booking process. Via the 'cancel booking' button in the booking confirmation e-mail, you can cancel the booking yourself if you are still within the cancellation period.
Nearly all our packages can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the day of arrival. However, for some packages this is 48 or 72 hours before the day of arrival. The time of arrival does not matter for the cancellation period.

It is unfortunately not possible to change a booking (date). You must first cancel the existing booking via the 'cancel' button. You will find this button in the e-mail with the booking confirmation, which you received immediately after payment of your reservation. Can't find it? Check your junk mail and/or spam to be sure.
If you want to book an extra night you can, provided that we also offer the corresponding package for 1 night, book consecutively to your other booking. The same applies if you want to book two additional nights. If we do not offer the package for one night on the site, you can do this through the hotel. You pay the normal hotel rate. So unfortunately not with our valid discount.
For Room only bookings it is advisable to check availability via the website. It is however necessary to make a new booking.
It is not possible to adjust the package. However, there are a number of extras that can be booked during the booking process. The package cannot be changed in terms of duration and content. If you want to come with more than two people, you can add extra packages in the second step of the booking process.
