On the edge of the centuries-old Laerbos forest, you will find Paping Hotel & Spa - Restaurant Vonck. This welcoming 3-star hotel may not be the most luxurious on our website, but it does offer a surprisingly comprehensive package at an attractive price. The location is ideal: right by the railway station and within walking distance of the lively centre of Ommen.
At Restaurant Vonck, you can enjoy delicious food without any fuss. The menu features pure, honest dishes prepared with fresh regional ingredients. The dishes from the Josper Grill and the house-aged meat from the hotel's own dry-age cabinets are particularly recommended.
After an active day in nature or in Zwolle, you can relax in the hotel's wellness facilities (at an additional charge). For a budget-friendly hotel, Paping offers a surprising range of facilities: an indoor sauna, plunge pool, Finnish outdoor sauna, whirlpool, swimming pool and a lovely garden with terraces and sun loungers. Massages and treatments can also be booked for those looking for some extra pampering.
The hotel's greatest asset is its surroundings. The Overijssel Vechtdal region is known for its beautiful cycling and walking routes through forests, estates, heathlands and picturesque villages. Zwolle is easily accessible by bicycle, or you can explore the countryside around Ommen. For a touch of culture, visit attractions such as Eerde Castle, De Lelie windmill and the Tin Figures Museum.
For additional relaxation, guests can visit De Beauty Puur (at an additional charge). This beauty salon is open from Tuesday to Saturday and on two Sundays per month. Treatments are based upon availability and must be booked in advance.
